7MML
Cultural Association 7milamiglialontano

We dedicate passion, time and energy to social responsibility projects, in the deep conviction that partnerships must be cultivated and nurtured with care so that they can create both tangible and intangible values.

In this way we can say that the photographers, videomakers, journalists, and travellers from 7milamiglialontano, the cultural association of Brescia chaired by Giuliano Radici, are firstmost, our long-time friends.

Indeed, we have been supporting their documentation projects with solidarity since their first trip in 2009. Since then, 4 other projects have been carried out, with the collection of about 300,000 euros, donated to partner organisations working to guarantee the universal rights to a dignified life, access to health, education, social inclusion and personal fulfilment.

The latest project, 7MML_5.0 H2oPLANET PROJECT, aims to raise awareness about protecting water resources and the environment. The project is developed over a period of 7 years (2019-2025), currently on stand-by due to the international Covid-19 emergency, but will resume as soon as possible.

Over the years we have had the pleasure of sharing the artistic and aesthetic value of fine art photographic books and magazines produced by 7milamiglialontano at the end of each project.

With H2oPLANET we want to do even more: starting from our common commitment to raising awareness and promoting sustainable behaviour and environmental protection, we have produced 7MML branded items related to travel and leisure, made with eco-sustainable materials and useful to induce a green transformation in everyone’s habits, without foregoing a high level design that enhances functionality and makes objects unique. A way to spread more quickly the positive values of the association and create a significant brand awareness.

2020 7MML_5.0 H2oPLANET PROJECT _ 5.2 Africa

This is the current project, momentarily suspended. It foresees 5 routes, with different teams and different means of transport, with the aim of investigating the relationship between Africa and its people and water, highlighting beauty and distortions, problems and solutions. Seven different concrete projects will be implemented, linked to sustainable agriculture, education, renewable energy, health, with six local associations (Celim in Zambia and Mozambique, Emergency in Uganda, Sunu Diiwaan in Senegal, Sana in Tanzania, Via Etica in Madagascar and Coopi in Ethiopia).

2019 7MML_H2o PLANET 5.1 Europa

The 7MML_5.0 H2oPLANET project in Europe begins: the first of 7  ourneys planned for the creation of this ambitious mapping project through images, videos and stories from most of the planet’s coasts. Deadline: 2025, Russia.

The year 2019 saw more than 70 travellers move around, with about 70,000 km travelled to raise public awareness of water conditions. Among the various means of transport used was a special one: the Itaca catamaran, built with recycled materials – plastic bottles, bamboo and garden and building site nets – moved by rowing, it ploughed the waters of the Brescian lakes.

The funds raised supported the Onlus Niños que Esperan, active in the Dominican Republic. The association collaborates with the orphanage Niños de Cristo, trying to provide for the educational needs of the young guests and the structure in which they live.

2017 BACK TO THE CENTRE

An epic journey that explored every corner of Asia with 7 different means of transport, starting from 7 points around the world, to meet on 17 – 7 – 2017 in Kannur, southern India, for the symbolic laying of the foundation stone of the Jyothi Art School workshop. The route started in 2009 and concluded emotionally at the Jyothi Nilaya art school. In September 2020 the school will begin courses. Promotica was the sponsor of the nautical stage, which started in the Philippines. Our Art Director Katia Guidi was also part of the team.

2014/2015 AROUND THE WORLD

Literally around the world with 2 off-road vehicles to help 7 small or large humanitarian associations and their important projects: Ant, Emergency, Casa delle Donne, Amici della Zizzi, Coopi, Cesvi, Centro Aiuti per l’Etiopia. The focus of the video and photographic project was food; understood as culture, tradition, exchange, presence or absence. The photographic book was presented at the EXPO in Milan.

2012 7MILAMIGLIALONTANO 2.0

Overland from Monte Rosa to Kathmandu, Nepal, with Silvio “Gnaro” Mondinelli, an internationally renowned mountaineer, to deliver a pick-up truck to be set up as an ambulance for the hospital in Maleku and raise funds for the Namche Bazar school with the Associazione Amici del Monte Rosafounded by Silvio Mondinelli.

2009 7MILAMIGLIALONTANO

A trip to highlight the conditions of children and young people in the countries of the South of the world, and to promote knowledge and dialogue between different cultures and religions. A group of artist-travellers departed from Mysore, in southern India, headed for Brescia with four Royal Enfield motorbikes to be sold at a charity auction for the 20th anniversary of the International Convention on the Rights of the Child. The proceeds were donated to the Jyothi Nilaya association.

The association takes its name from the seven thousand miles that separate Mysore from Brescia. It is this distance that gives the association its name
